What does “USDA Certified Organic” mean?

Organic certification requires that farmers and handlers document their processes and get inspected every year. Organic on-site inspections account for every component of the operation, including, but not limited to, seed sources, soil conditions, crop health, weed and pest management, water systems, inputs, contamination and commingling risks and prevention, and record-keeping. Tracing organic products from start to finish is part of the USDA organic promise. Vistera not only meets, but exceeds the standards put forward by the USDA for Organic CBD.

What does this mean for you?

It means Vistera's Certified Organic CBD is free from potentially harmful synthetic-chemicals that can find their way into your products. Those chemicals can cause allergic reactions in some people, and have a detrimental effect on the air, water, and wildlife in the surrounding areas.

Our extractions are performed using supercritical CO2 technology. This is by far the cleanest method of CBD production on the market, and allows us to maintain our organic certification. Carbon Dioxide gas is compressed to extreme pressures and heated to become a supercritical fluid. In this state, it becomes a powerful, tunable solvent, which can be used to selectively extract cannabinoids from biomass, while leaving behind waxes, chlorophyll, and other undesirables. This allows us to produceoil with top shelf clarity and purity. After passing though the plant material, the supercritical CO2 is returned to ambient temperatures and pressures, where it converts back into a gas and is collected for re-use. This method leaves behind pure, plant derived cannabinoids, with zero residual solvents or byproducts.

Purity for your products.
